There are many open spaces with walking trails and bikeways as well as athletic fields and parks for recreation. tennis, softball, baseball, football, soccer, and skating are just some of the sports available to young and old alike. And there are no extra fees for school buses or student sports activities!

Bedford is located close enough to Boston that many residents work within the city limits and commute. This proximity also makes it possible to slip into town for the cultural activities or to sample the night-life and still be home at a decent hour!
