Holiday Happenings in Our 'hood (& Beyond)

Holiday cheer is back with a vengeance this year! There is so much to see and do that we wish we had more days in the month. We’ve rounded up a few local festivities that top our list. Check them out below!

Our very own Holiday House Tour: Front Steps Edition is not to be missed! We’re stepping it up a notch this year with the addition of Santa visits on our porch! Note that signup is required for a visit & photo with the big guy - check out the dedicated webpage for all of the details.

Carriage rides are making a return to the Holiday House Tour! Thanks to our friends from Revise, we’ll have horse-drawn carriage rides making their way around one of Bedford’s neighborhoods. The ride location will be indicated on the official Holiday House Tour map, so be sure to request your copy today!

The reindeer scavenger hunt returns for 2021 too! Santa’s elves have been working away to build the 9 reindeer that will be hidden throughout the tour. Don’t miss your opportunity to participate in the contest and be entered to win a gift card to a Bedford business. Details will be included with the map distribution email.

Additional highlights to look forward to include holiday tunes from our favorite brass band, The Regency Brass, candy canes, another Santa appearance & more!

We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

More Holiday Light Displays

If you’re heading out and about in Massachusetts this holiday season, there are numerous festive displays. From downtown Boston, featuring the city’s Christmas tree on the Common and the brilliantly lit trellis in Christopher Columbus Park, to attractions in the Boston metro area and beyond, Boston Magazine has rounded up some not-to-be-missed displays. Admission prices vary and many require reservations, so check out the list and make your plans!

Holiday & Christmas Shows

The return of live performances this year means that some of our holiday favorites are back, too! From classics like The Nutcracker and A Christmas Carol to newer productions, such as a main stage rendition of the 1980’s movie, A Christmas Story, we are thrilled to see so many shows listed on boston-theater.com.

Winter Holiday Markets

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen a surge of holiday markets popping up in and around Boston. Each market offers something different, from a traditional European Christmas Market to beloved New England craft fairs. Check out this list of markets in Boston and adjacent communities to find one that tickles your fancy. If venturing into Boston isn’t on your agenda, there are many others happening throughout New England. Visit this site of open markets to see if one of these fits into your travel plans this season.
