Darcy Heintz-Perkins

1. What's a fun fact about yourself? 

My first name is Sibyl- I am the fifth generation Sibyl in my family. It is the responsibility of each Sibyl to pass the name along, so my daughter is the sixth Sibyl in our family. I love this history and tradition that exists in my family, and am proud to come from such a strong lineage of amazing women. Darcy is my middle name!

2. What's your favorite vacation spot?

I love spending time on a little island in the northern Bahamas called Man-O-War Cay. I have been going there ever since I was a baby. I love the peacefulness,simplicity and beauty of the island.

3. What's your guilty pleasure?

My guilty pleasure is watching cheesy Lifetime movies

4. What's your favorite quotation?

5. What is a piece of advice you've ever gotten?  

Every morning when my kids get on the bus I tell them to “be kind and make good choices”. That is advice that I try to live by in my daily life as well.

6. What is your favorite book and/or movie that you would recommend?

This is always such a hard question for me. I was an English teacher for years before transitioning to real estate, so asking about favorite book is like asking me which of my kids I like the best. I loved teaching American literature and I am a big fan of To Kill A Mockingbird, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Great Gatsby, Catcher in the Rye and Of Mice and Men. I always gravitate towards books that help me to simultaneously examine myself, and also reevaluate the world around me.

7. What do you love best about working at Suzanne & Company?

There are so many amazing things about working at Suzanne and Company. I love that we are a team of all women. I am humbled and inspired by the team and how we all work together, focused on common goals. Real estate can often be a competitive field. There is something really powerful about a driven, successful group of women, working together every day to lift each other up and support each other’s successes.
