1. Today’s Recipe:

Frenchtoast.jpg

So, I made French Toast, I am not a big cook (ahem) so I really worked hard on this. I used leftover thick italian bread from the Chateau, a real skillet pan, and real butter. It was a hit (for about 3 minutes)! Click here for a simple recipe you can follow to make your own french toast!

3. Good Kid-Friendly Activity:

Ok! So thought I had this one down. I made a list of Mama approved activities that we could do TOGETHER, such as play LIFE or BATTLESHIP together but that seemed to not work so well. However, what DID work well was Scavenger Hunts!! They created one for each other and had a blast! That was the only win, otherwise lots of fighting over the dog etc... Click here for some guidance on creating your own scavenger hunt!

4. Proud Moment:

I spent 2-3 hours in the office talking to clients, team members, and colleagues trying to sort this all out. Positive feelings are beating out the negative ones for now and communication is key! I'm also happy to give the kids a few special moments (French toast) while making sure they know this is not a vacation. I'm glad to get outside, SUPER GLAD to give back my cool badass Dodge Ram HEMI rental car from Maine as I finally got my car sorted out, little things like that that seem "normal".

5. Not-So-Proud Moment:

Sorry to all in West Bedford- my kids were fighting over PUDDING along with the dog and all sorts of other dumbness and stress won out. I yelled LOUDLY. Trying to balance their reality with ours..they should NOT say I am BORED! I will show you bored hahahahha. But, really we can't protect our kids from this reality, I feel this adversity and challenge with understanding will make them stronger. Remember as kids we watched things unfold with Baby Jessica and The Challenger disaster... times can be hard and in my opinion we do NO good by our kids to make them think this is a vacation or all good....it's not-- prepare them for THEIR future.

6. Whatcha Reading:

So this is a slow read but everyone says stick it out- A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles. Just finished the Bookish Life of Nina Hill and that was perfect for right now!! lI LIGHT AND SWEET

7. Great Adult Conversation:

Wow! So many here... Lots of calls with clients and every situation is completely different and unique- still multiple offers on some properties, lots of showings on others, and some progress all around.  We had a buyer back out due to uncertainty, that is understandable. Happy to talk this all through!!

8. Who was the Helper in your Community Today (Inspired by Mr. Rogers, of course!):

Today our neighbor reached out to say she was bringing over fresh eggs from her hens and would leave them on our doorstep. xoxoxoxo kids and I looked forward to this and used them in dinner!!! What a great neighbor!!

9. Movie/Show Recommendation:

DO NOT JUDGE but right now Mr Deeds (huge Adam Sandler fans) and last night Flight of the Navigator (Disney, loved it in 80s, might have been SJP first role) anyways Ryan has a HUGE list we will share… stay tuned - it’s epic.

10. Excellent Outdoor Activity:

*GOAL yes I am running every DAY or virtual YOGA !!  But alas come 430 NADA so Ryan, Wes and I checked out Hartwell Town Forest...I tried to sprint, jump on logs, play football with them...good outdoor activity but definitely not the intense workout I could use for my brain and body right now. Look forward to checking out Yoko Chun's online Yoga on Thursday.... and did you know that Bedford has a list/book of all trails etc available online and at town hall-- short term GOAL check them all out!!! Then explore Purgatory Chasm. Great Brook, Blue Hills, and (insert your faves here) Then explore Purgatory Chasm. Great Brook, Blue Hills. Click here to see all of Bedford’s trail maps! P.S. - they’re printable!

11. Blog or Website You Are Clicking On:

Sooo many have been down the Rabbit Hole of Facebook etc- but trust the CDC, docs, ITALY, and love The Daily Brew emails and Compass updates via Leonard Steinburg and our pretty cool and normal and relatable CEO Robert Reffkin… Also this blog from a local resident really helped me! Lastly I have received these daily emails for a while and both are great- Morning Brew and Byers market

12. Any Advice You Want to Share:
